No one can say for certain that the latest iTunes is without bugs that might affect you personally. Now, excuse me, I must get back to The Model, by Kraftwerk, which as you may have noticed in the screenshots, is on pause. Funny thing I've only just found this feature as a result of working out how to resolve your issue.

You must click on the time itself, not just any-old-where. I didn't have any issues in this respect, so I assume that UK English (that I use) was okay together with US EnglishĬlick on the end time and it switches between total track time and remaining time:

The language issue appeared to be that if iTunes was set to use any language other than English, there were problems.

I'm not aware that Apple have ever recommended it, although I believe some users here have done so

It's never a good idea to revert to previous versions of any software.

A new version, just three days after the previous one only signifies: a.) just how bad the new bug was and b.) how desperate the software team were to fix that particular bug.

So updating iTunes will fix some bugs but almost inevitably introduce new ones. It's a sad fact of life that every version of every piece of complex software (such as iTunes) will have new bugs. Nothing to complain about - for a change. Note: Other than the timer on the songs (I could have sworn the time on the right counted down while the one on the left counted up - during playback.now the time on the right remains the song length, with no change), my current version is running just fine. Perhaps those who are still having issues are running a prior version - which was subsequently fixed a few days later? (I'm basing this on the 'History of iTunes' Wikipedia page, which lists all created versions & release dates.) But those with problems kept referring to the very latest version, 12.12.1 not 12.12.0.6 (released 3 days apart from one another), which is what concerns me.

And something about language? Or were those glitches fixed? There are so many different posts online, it is hard to tell whether all those issues were prior to the very latest version, or not.

Users are/were being told to return to older versions. This time I apparently waited thru TWO previous updates.)īut it appears (based on online posts) 12.12.1 has a lot of issues. (I always wait to make sure there are no known glitches with new iTunes software, before proceeding.

I haven't had a chance to update iTunes for Windows on my PC, which is running on Windows 10, since 12.11.3.17.
